A warm corner in a chaotic world.

Tailored Moon is for people who want something to look forward to on a Monday. A treat, not homework.

Cosmic entertainment. That's it.

Tailored Moon started with a simple idea: the moon affects the tides. Who's to say it doesn't affect your Tuesday? At minimum, it's fun to think about.

We're not fortune tellers. We don't predict your future or warn you about Mercury retrograde ruining your week.

We just give you a daily moment of reflection. Something delivered like a small gift each morning.

Read it with your coffee. Smile. Move on with your day.

The Story Behind TailoredMoon

I used to read horoscopes in newspapers, then go through the day half-consciously matching what happens to what I read. Something goes sideways at work and you think, "wait, didn't it say something about that?" Not because I believed in astrology as a science, but because it made me more aware of my day.

About twenty years ago, I got the chance to work on horoscope generation software. Seeing how it was made — just tables of pre-written text merged together — killed the magic entirely. I lost interest in horoscopes completely.

Fast forward to a few years ago. A full moon Monday — the kind where everyone acts a little different and things get strange. I started paying attention, and the pattern kept repeating. Ask anyone who works night shifts or in emergency rooms — they'll have a full moon story. It made me reconsider: maybe astrology, at least from the Moon's perspective, points at something real about how we feel and behave. And if the Moon, why not other planets too?

Around the same time, AI had reached a point where it could be used as a tool to interpret astrological data with real nuance and depth — not replace an astrologer, but make that level of quality possible at a scale no human could manage alone. I didn't want traditional astrology — the rigid interpretations, the deterministic predictions. I wanted something more like a cosmic weather forecast. Just as you check the weather before heading out, what if you could get a sense of what's happening in the sky and how it might color your day? And I wanted it to be personal — something tailored to you, genuinely useful for how you navigate your day.

It started as Tailored Horoscopes. But I realized that people like me — curious about the Moon's effect but turned off by the word "horoscope" — would never give it a chance with that name. And honestly, the project had outgrown horoscopes anyway. It wasn't just about readings anymore — it was about reflection, better decisions, and small personal rituals tied to what's happening in the sky.

So it became TailoredMoon. Because the moon and stars affect us — and that should be entertaining, not frightening.

How It's Made

The astronomy behind TailoredMoon is powered by our own calculation engine, built on established astronomical algorithms — Moshier's analytical methods, VSOP87 planetary theory, and ELP2000 lunar theory. It calculates planetary positions, house cusps, moon phases, aspects, and more — tested against Swiss Ephemeris data across 150 years (1925–2075) with sub-arcminute accuracy for most planets.

Our astrological interpretations are based on our canon — a comprehensive body of work we developed by studying established astrological traditions.

For each reading, we combine the astronomical data for the time period with your natal chart (for premium subscribers), then layer our canon on top to build a rich interpretive context. This context is used to generate a draft reading, which then goes through critique, rewriting, proofreading, and translation into French, German, and Spanish — with a final proofread in each language.

Premium subscribers receive a completely personal reading every day — generated specifically for their birth chart, not a generic interpretation shared across an entire zodiac sign.
