Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Tailored Moon (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use after changes means you accept them.

2. What We Offer

Tailored Moon provides:

  • Personalized daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly horoscopes based on your birth chart
  • Decision timers with cosmic timing guidance
  • Journaling and reflection tools
  • Guided meditations
  • Educational Learn section about astrology fundamentals
  • Optional paid subscription tiers (Cosmic Plus and Cosmic Premium)

Important: Horoscopes, decision timing guidance, and astrological insights are for entertainment and wellness purposes only. They are not predictions or medical/financial advice. Consult professionals for important life decisions.

3. User Account

3.1 Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's consent.

After Dark (18+ only): When available, this section will be restricted to users 18 and older. False age statements violate these Terms and may result in account termination.

3.2 Registration

To sign up, you provide:

  • Email address
  • Password (keep it confidential)
  • Birth date and time (for horoscopes)
  • Birth location (optional)

You're responsible for your account security. Notify us immediately if your account is compromised.

3.3 Your Account

Your account is personal and not shareable. You alone are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. How You Can Use This Service

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service illegally or violate any law.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Post hate speech, discrimination, or graphic content.
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Spam or phish.
  • Sell, redistribute, or claim ownership of our content.

Violation consequences: Your account may be suspended or terminated without refund.

5. Content Ownership

5.1 Our Content

Horoscopes, decision timer guidance, meditations, soundscapes, graphics, and designs are ours. You may view and use them personally within the Service, but you may not copy, modify, or share them publicly without permission.

5.2 Your Content

You own the text in your journal entries and decision timer reflections. By using the Service, you allow us to:

  • Store your entries on our servers (encrypted at rest)
  • Decrypt your entries to display them back to you
  • Use anonymized, aggregated metadata (e.g. mood, moon phase, decision types) to improve the Service
  • Delete them if you request account deletion

We will never sell your journal entries or timer reflections, or share them with third parties without your permission. While entries are encrypted, we retain the keys to facilitate service delivery and recovery.

6. Subscription & Payment

6.1 Plans

  • Free (Starter): Generic daily horoscopes with 3-day history, 7 journal entries visible, 1 decision timer, 1 generic meditation per month
  • Cosmic Plus: Full daily readings (200-250 words), unlimited journal history, 10 decision timers, 4 personalized meditations per month — €7.99 per month or €59.99 per year
  • Cosmic Premium: Everything in Plus, weekly and monthly readings, yearly reading (annual plan), 20 decision timers, 8 personalized meditations per month, journal export (PDF/CSV) — €14.99 per month or €119 per year

6.2 Automatic Renewal

When you subscribe, you authorize automatic recurring charges. You must cancel before your renewal date to stop being charged. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period.

6.3 Refunds

  • Accidental charge: Contact us within 7 days for a refund.
  • Change of mind: Refunds are not available for standard cancellations. We may refund within 7 days of purchase if the Service was not used.

6.4 Payment

Stripe handles all payments securely. We don't store your credit card. By paying, you confirm your information is accurate.

7. Limits on Our Liability

7.1 "As-Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR COMPLETENESS.

7.2 No Guarantees

  • Horoscopes may not be accurate or helpful.
  • Decision timer cosmic timing suggestions are for entertainment purposes only and do not guarantee favorable outcomes for any decision.
  • The Service may have errors or interruptions.
  • We're not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.

7.3 Your Risk

You use the Service at your own risk. We're not responsible for:

  • Data loss or corruption
  • Unauthorized access (if due to your negligence)
  • Device damage or software conflicts
  • Third-party service failures

8. Intellectual Property

Tailored Moon owns all intellectual property in the Service (trademarks, copyrights, technology). You may not use our name or logo without permission.

9. Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it. By using the Service, you consent to data collection as described there.

10. Account Deletion & Data Export

You can delete your account anytime via Account Settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your account and all data are permanently removed.

Data Export: Premium subscribers can export their journal entries in PDF or CSV format via the Journal page.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • OpenRouter for AI-powered content generation (horoscopes, meditation scripts)
  • Google Maps API for birth location geocoding and timezone lookup
  • Resend for transactional emails (password reset, notifications)
  • PostHog for product analytics (EU region, only if you consent to analytics cookies)

We're not responsible for their operations or privacy. Review their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to the Service

We may add, remove, or modify features. We'll notify you of significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable European Union law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
